Introducing AI Connections: bring live Elements context into your AI workflow

Financial advisors are beginning to use AI for meeting preparation, research, writing, and analysis. But the usefulness of an AI assistant depends on the context it can access—and manually copying client information into every conversation is slow and difficult to govern.

AI Connections is our first step toward a better workflow. It lets an advisor connect Elements to a compatible AI assistant using the Model Context Protocol, or MCP. Once connected, the assistant can find clients and work with current Elements information that the advisor has explicitly authorized.

What you can do in the beta

AI Connections can:

  • List and search the active clients and households in your Elements firm.
  • Retrieve a client profile and current household context.
  • Include current Elements scores and a financial snapshot when that permission is granted.

That opens up practical workflows such as:

  • “Find the Johnson household and summarize their current Elements scorecard.”
  • “Pull the latest financial snapshot for the Patel family before my meeting.”
  • “Help me identify the parts of this household’s current picture I should review more closely.”

AI Connections is read-only in this beta. Your AI assistant cannot create notes, change balances, update client records, or take actions inside Elements.

You stay in control of access

Connecting starts from Firm Settings in Elements:

  1. Turn on AI Connections in Elements Labs.
  2. Copy your firm’s Remote MCP Server URL.
  3. Add it as a custom connector in Claude.
  4. Sign in to Elements and review the requested permissions.

Elements scopes the connection to the advisor’s authorized firm. The consent screen shows the requested access before the connection is approved, and the beta does not expose write actions.

Built on an open connection standard

AI Connections uses MCP, an open standard for connecting AI applications to external tools and data. That lets Elements provide one secure remote connection instead of building a different proprietary integration for every AI application.

We are starting with a focused read-only beta so advisors can test real workflows while we learn where AI access creates the most value. The current release prioritizes client discovery, current scores, and financial context. Broader tools and any future write workflows will require separate product and safety work.
