We’re super excited to tell you about all of the cool new features and improvements we’ve added to Elements over the past month!
Below you can read about the latest features and fixes we’ve released. And, if you make it to the end, we’ve dropped a preview of some exciting new stuff that is coming soon.
Now Available
Advisor Web App & Client Android App
Just a reminder that the advisor web app and the client Android app are both now available (you can see last month’s full announcement here).
Data Aggregation with Automatic Updates for Android
Clients can now connect their financial accounts in the Android app just like on the iOS app.
Android’s data aggregation uses Plaid’s latest technology including OAuth connectivity with Chase, Capital One, Wells Fargo, USAA, and Bank of America. This means more stable and secure connections for your clients.
Additionally, account balances on Android automatically update throughout the day, so Elements will capture and build account history for connected accounts without the user having to login into or open the app. Note: this feature is not yet available on iOS.
Making Households More Inclusive of Spouses & Partners
Clients that view their net worth overview in the app will now see both their own name and their spouse’s/partner’s name at the top of the page.
We’ve also made some other similar changes on both web and Android.
We know we have more work to do here to make Elements more inclusive of spouses and partners, so this is just a small start (see below for another fun update).
More New Features and Enhancements
In addition to overall stability and performance improvements to the new multi-platform sync engine…
On the advisor web app:
- Tax data is fully editable
- Historical account values can be deleted
- Advisors can reset their password from the sign-in page
On the Android app:
- Users can change account types
On the iOS app:
- If client and advisor are seeing different data, advisors can now “pull-to-refresh” client data on the client’s net worth tab to more easily resolve any sync issues
- Added OAuth support for Chase, Capital One, Wells Fargo, USAA, and Bank of America for increased stability and security
- Change account type now includes real estate
Coming Soon
Easier client creation
Create clients and edit data without having to send a client invite.
We’ve seen that one of the most difficult parts to getting clients added to Elements is waiting (patiently…) on a client to accept their invitation.
Well, you shouldn’t always have to wait on a client, so coming soon will be the ability to create clients in Elements without having to send a client invite.
Invite-only app access
Client access to Elements is soon becoming “by advisor invite only”, not freely available in the app store.
Most of you use Elements to help differentiate from other advisors and strengthen your value proposition. When clients can freely gain access to Elements in the app store without having an advisor, we understand that it can weaken your value proposition.
As a result, we’ll soon be making access to Elements “invite-only.” While Elements will still appear in the app stores, prospects and clients won’t be able to access Elements without an invitation from you!
There are a couple of other cool features we’ll be building along with this (hint: spouse/partner logins, prospects), so stay tuned…
